Making Family Trees
I’ve been using Scapple to build basic family trees for a novel. I found actual genealogy software too overwrought for the level of detail require and lacking some particular features needed. Scapple solves this by being freeform while easily connecting individuals together. It makes the entire process far more organic as opposed to fill-in-the-blank.
It would be nice to have slightly more fluid movement. For example, it would nice to be able to pinch to zoom and pan at the same time. It might also be helpful to have an canvas unlimited in every direction with a “back to content” button if one becomes lost. As it is, to extend outward, you must either move everything or inch a box out to expand the canvas.
