Liking it so far...
In a nutshell, this app is a very minimalist mindmapping tool. Its best feature over other MM software is that it does not force you into any kind of organizational tree. You just type and make connections as you see fit. Make sure to read their two-page quickstart guide under the help menu. I was making my first map (medications to be held on pre-op patients) for school within five minuets.
I can already see myself using this on a regular basis to refine my notes. The biggest gripe about hand-written notes I have always had is once you have them on paper, thats it, you can not reorganize them without completely rewriting them, and then rewriting them again, and again. Now I can type them out here, make all the connections I want to, drag and drop from my other Scapple notes when units have cross matched concepts, and reorganize based upon priority and what areas I need the most work in.
This is the mindmapping app I have basically been looking for ever since I started nursing school.
Note to devs: If you make a companion iPad app, I WILL buy it.
